No. 180
Hongkong.
sir,
29103
Government House
Hongkong, 14th. July, 1905.
35
I have the honour to inform you
that certain irregularities in the Magistracy Accounts for
April having been reported to me by the Local Auditor,
I
caused criminal proceedings to be instituted against the
clerk in charge, Mr. Tang Fuk, who was in receipt of a
salary of $1,248 per annum.
2.
The accused was committed by the
Magistrate for trial at the Criminal Sessions, when the
jury were unanimous in bringing in a verdict of "not
guilty".
3.
As, however, the evidence dis-
I
-closed neglect and breach of duty by Mr. Tang Fuk,
caused, under clause 96-A of the Colonial Rules and Regula-
-tions, the usual proceedings to be taken with a view to
his suspension, and I now enclose copies of the charges
THE RIGHT HONOURABLE
&C. 1
